NIS2 Hungary

Oh no! No description found. But not to worry. Read from Tasks below how to advance this topic.

The 2024 Act LXIX on the cybersecurity of Hungary, effective from January 1, 2025, implements the NIS2 Directive, expanding cybersecurity regulations and consolidating previous laws. Core requirements appear in the 2024 Act, with additional requirements appearing in the 7/2024. (VI. 24.) MK Decree and 418/2024. (XII. 23.) Governmental Decree.

Act LXIX of 2024 on the cybersecurity of Hungary, also known as the Cybersecurity Act, came into effect on January 1, 2025, repealing Act L of 2013 and Act XXIII of 2023. This law integrates the NIS2 Directive into Hungary's national legal system, expanding its scope beyond NIS2 entities to include organizations previously covered by the Information Security Act. The purpose of the law is to ensure a high level of cybersecurity, reduce threats to electronic information systems and ensure service continuity in key sectors. It applies to organizations in the administrative sector, majority state-owned economic organizations, and entities identified as essential or important by the national cybersecurity authority. The law covers risk governance mechanisms, threat assessments, risk classification of information systems and control measures. Act LXVIX covers the core NIS2 cybersecurity requirements, but references the 7/2024. (VI. 24.) MK Decree and 418/2024. (XII. 23.) Governmental Decree extensively. The decrees contain additional technical measures necessary to achieve full compliance with the law.

The ISMS component hierachy

When building an ISMS, it's important to understand the different levels of information hierarchy. Here's how Cyberday is structured.

Framework

Sets the overall compliance standard or regulation your organization needs to follow.

Requirements

Break down the framework into specific obligations that must be met.

Tasks

Concrete actions and activities your team carries out to satisfy each requirement.

Policies

Documented rules and practices that are created and maintained as a result of completing tasks.

Never duplicate effort. Do it once - improve compliance across frameworks.

Reach multi-framework compliance in the simplest possible way
Security frameworks tend to share the same core requirements - like risk management, backup, malware, personnel awareness or access management.
Cyberday maps all frameworks’ requirements into shared tasks - one single plan that improves all frameworks’ compliance.
Do it once - we automatically apply it to all current and future frameworks.
